Carmen,
I understand your point about working with a new grad without an "R" However,
many states will allow you to practice on a temporary license under supervision
of fully licensed therapist while you are waiting to take the test or waiting
for your scores. I practiced for about 6 weeks on my temp license (and my temp
license was good for 90-120 days. I can't remember which). I can attest that
while getting my "R" was a big deal to myself and others who understood what I
had to go through to get it, my patients didn't notice a major change in my
ability to practice.
