Beth:
Here are my 2 cents.
Generally, speaking, you are in a situation where you can call the shots.
Everyone wants a COTA today. You must decide what is really best for you.
Don't chase the dollar. It's about job satisfaction, not money. The money
will come with the experience. If you plan on going back to school soon, align
yourself with a department that has an excellent tuition reimbursement program.
Usually, hospitals affiliated with colleges fall into this category.
Good luck!!

Subject: [OTlist] Question

  Hello

I am a very new OTA grad, and I'm a little overwhelmed at the thought of
taking the exam, temporary licenses, searching for a job, choosing
between available positions etc... I am looking to you as seasoned
practitioners---can you give me pointers, advice, etc on what to look
out for as a first year COTA? Any advice you may have is welcome, and
greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Beth Woodcock
