Hey Susan: Personally, I've been told by one employer that I was hired in part because I was a male. Just recently, another potential employer mentioned that it would be helpful to have a male employee.
I think employeers of OT's value a male presence because often OT is one of the only professions where there are no males. This is the case in both of the above instances. Also, I want to point out that your below quote omits two words; "I think".
