As a future CHT (God willing- I need two more years before sitting for the
exam) I totally agree w/voting NO on motion 1. I feel that an entry level OT
should have a better grasp on how facilitating occupation can greatly impact a
person's life before knowing specialized tests of the UE. I also think that the
OT profession should concentrate more on exposing future occupational
therapists to a more well rounded anatomical foundation including lower
extremities in
depth not to encroach on PT's but to give us an opportunity to compete on the
same level.
