Ron and All,

I have only been a part of the OT list for about a year or so, but have
benefited well from the exchanges here. If the list does "die" then I just
wanted to register my own personal "thank you" to you, and all contributors
from which I have received benefit on my brief time here. If it lives on, then
great!

Bill Maloney, OTR

Hello Folks:

The OTlist has reached the end of a long and interesting run. It's
been sort of a 10 year marathon with rest breaks along the way.

I wish to thank all the people who have contributed over the years.
Certain names stand out, but I'm thankful to anyone who has written
messages. Without messages, any listserve eventually dies and such is
the fate of the OTlist.

The OTnow.com website remains for the foreseeable future, and I may
start a blog (gosh, I despise that term), but I'm pretty busy with
other things.

So, I will just delete the list and it will be just like it never
existed. The archive will remain and you can search their for
messages.

The OTlist started as a labor of love and I ALMOST shed tears as I
type this message. But, EVERYTHING has a reason and a season, and it's
safe to assume the OTlist now has neither reason or season.

So, farewell to all the OT's from around the world and remember to
keep focusing on OCCUPATION!!!!

Ron

Thanks Ron
I think you are wise. I was recently part of a celebration of Lammas - the
festival of first fruits. Part of the reflection was about honouring regrets
but knowing how and when to let them go. The list has been a big part of my
professional growth but I too am occupied with other things.
Blessed be. Joan

After my last message, I began the process of deleting the OTlist.

While on the OTlist admin site, however, I received a "surprise"
because there were over 70 members and 5 messages waiting to be
approved.

For what ever reason, I have not been receiving notification of new
member requests and moderated member messages.

So, maybe the influx of new members will "pep" up the list. I will
approve the waiting messages later this PM. Some of them are probably
out of date, but what the heck, right? If the list continues to be a
dud, I'll shut down a little later.

Sorry for all the drama!

Ron
