Hello Lori:

I've looked at the CPT but have never used it. Working in a mental
health setting, I would think the CPT would be "mandatory".

I did a clinical rotation at a VA hospital in Salisbury, NC. I loved
the mental health component, although I really didn't understand what
I was doing...

The other day, I evaled a man for my home health company. He and his
wife were very crafty. He is building an ultra-light airplane and his
wife is heavily involved with fused glass. The woman had a kiln in her
house!!! I was besides myself as she explained the art of fused
glass!! I reminded me of the arts and crafts of OT. Of course, I told
her the same!!

Ron

Ldsnu> Ron,
Ldsnu> I agree that I too wish they had left it as it was. I have been trying to
Ldsnu> post a question. I am having trouble and emailed AOTA for some help. I
did
Ldsnu> get a response from their tech support but haven't replied because I
don't
Ldsnu> understand the questions they asked me. They did acknowledge some
problems.
Ldsnu> I will pose my question here:
Ldsnu> Does anybody have experience with the Cognitive Performance Test (CPT)?
We
Ldsnu> are looking to add to our Allen cognitive resources for evaluation and at
Ldsnu> this state psychiatric hospital.
