I recall in the mid 90's this same topic arose about "rehab therapist"
in which both profession would become one. It was all over the Advance
magazine covers. Over 10 years later, it still hasn't happened... I've
learned one, thing history repeats itself.

Good question...perhaps generalist will be the same, then there will be
specialists (i.e pediatrics, neuro, ortho, etc.).....but, I suppose one
profession will have to give for this all to happen....so, maybe you are
on to something in regards to a new profession that will ultimately void

Interestingly, a patient recently called me a rehab therapist.

David, are you suggesting that OT and PT would be replaced by this new
discipline? Or do you see it as an addition to what we already have?

Ron
