Hello everyone! I have been a COTA in pediatrics for the last six years, and am making the transition to acute care. Can anyone recommend some good continuing ed courses or resources that I should be sure to look into?
I just got a flier in the mail for a course called "You want me to move where?" (or something like that) on managing all the tubes and wires and stuff. Has anyone attended that? I also see that there is a class called Managing the Acute Care Patient sponsored by Education Resources coming to my area in September. Any comments on that one? I'm having a hard time adjusting to the whole DRG/payment system and would love to know where I can find more basic information on that as well. Any other suggestions or comments would be welcome!
