It's such a difficult situation. I'm all for taking care of people who are truly unable to take care of themselves. I'm believe that individuals have a moral obligation to take care of themselves AND those around them. If a person is in need and I have the ability to help, then I should.
I do NOT believe that healthcare is a RIGHT. And even if it is a right, with every right comes a responsibility. And responsibility is one thing that is sorely lacking in this country. So many people WANT what's "theirs" but they don't want to take responsibility for what they get. Great topic, I was hoping someone would bring it up.
