Ian, After running Pidgin under debug mode, I've noticed nothing related to OTR preventing Pidgin from starting. What I have noticed is a bunch of stuff like "subkey: SOFTWARE\MIT\Kerberos" which pidgin looks for but I surely don't have it on my machine. Even so pidgin run, so I assume that these are linux software.
I've included debugs for Pidgin with OTR installed & Pidgin running after uninstalling OTR -Pidgin Debug OTR [Pidgin fails to start and windows generates a report] http://pastebin.com/CxGsCe5b -Pidin Debug SansOTR [Pidgin run fine] http://pastebin.com/WpqeF1qf On Thu, Jun 28, 2012 at 6:27 AM, <[email protected]> wrote: > Message: 2 > Date: Wed, 27 Jun 2012 16:34:19 -0400 > From: Ian Goldberg <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [OTR-users] OTR-users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 8 > To: [email protected] > Message-ID: <[email protected]> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii > > On Mon, Jun 25, 2012 at 10:28:01AM -0400, SevenFactors wrote: >> Is anybody else having problems with pidgin-otr 4.0.0-beta2 for windows? >> >> With pidgin-otr 4.0.0-beta2 installed, Pidgin fails to start.
