Does debian use ports system? Also you can download the DBI packages
from the CPAN site, and install them manually

Debian Linux 3.1, 2.6.8 kernel.  Using Apache2 2.0.54
I'll check the different perl pieces.  It's a little hard to find the 
docs in the Debian install here for some reason...
