Why not just collect the emails via Exchange as you have done, and then collect
them using the POP3 service against your Exchange server from OTRS. Just make
sure POP3 is enabled on your Exchange box. You can test this by doing a telnet
to port 110 from any client on your network to your exchange server. If you get
a prompt, the POP3 service is running. If the connection times out, you will
need to enable POP3 and start it.

I haven't installed OTRS on windows so I don't know if it creates any default
scheduled jobs or not. But if there is no scheduled jobs, you will need to add
the postmaster.pl script as a scheduled job at whatever interval you need. This
is done using the Scheduled tasks icon from the Control Panel.

Thomas

OK - I'll stop Exchange collecting the POP emails from the ISP and get OTRS to
collect the emails. The problem is, how do I do this in Windows???

Hi Oliver,

As I know:
It is not be possible to get the mails using Microsoft's Exchange Server since
OTRS uses pure POP3 acc. while Exchange Server using an additional IMAP
protocol, try to use a pure POP3 acc.
like a gmx acc.

enjoy,

ibrahim
