This happens sometimes when the PostMasterPOP3 is still running by the next scheduled time. You need to make sure, depending on how many mails you are receiving, how many mailboxes you are checking, and the size of your emails, that you do not run the script to often. You can force a restart of the script by runing it for DOS or a terminal with the -f1 option.
