Hi,
if your OTRS server has internet access it will be much easier if you
use the package manager :
1. click on "Admin" icon in the toolbar
2. click on "Package Manager"
3. the table "Online Repository" shows downloadable packages
4. on the left you can choose other repositories
5. the table "Local Repository" shows all packages you have already
installed (therefore they won't show under "Online Repository")
Then you will have access to all packages commonly available with clear
names and a short description.
If you need more information please ask.
You can also use the documentation under http://doc.otrs.org/ or simply
try some of the modules in the demo system under
http://www.otrs.com/en/tools/demo/ or in an own test system. For some of
the more popular packages you can also find additional information via
google, for example the video describing the Master Slave Tickets module.
