I haven't been able to fit multiple OTRS instances in one
mod_perl-apache. It seemed like mod_perl only looked at the modules
imported as with vhost2 I got the config of vhost1. I could install
vhost2 because 'SecureMode' was set in the config of vhost1, which was
loaded by mod_perl as Kernel::Config.

That's why I wrote this howto [1], to fit multiple OTRS instances on one
server. It's Ubuntu-based, but that's not too far away from you Debian
mindset. :)
