I have a similar issue in ATL area with Level3, but my case notes aren’t the
typical backhoe job.

*** CASCADED EXTERNAL NOTES 22-Nov-2016 08:12:14 GMT From CASE: 11831633 - Event
The original local provider reports that upon further investigation, fiber
damages caused by rodent chews were identified. The local provider is now
investigating the possibility of rolling services to new fibers for expedited
restoral.

*** CASCADED EXTERNAL NOTES 22-Nov-2016 14:47:11 GMT From CASE: 11831633 - Event
The local provider reports a second rodent chew on the fiber is suspected.
Further investigations are being performed to identify the exact point of
damage and field technician will be dispatched for the repair once the fault is
located.

The location for the damage is Smyrna, GA. My circuit drop time was 2016-11-21
09:27:51 PST. If you’ve been down 24hours already, this might not be related
since my impact didn’t start until a few hours after yours.

After 24 hours of being down we finally got the following. Anyone else having

*** CASCADED EXTERNAL NOTES 22-Nov-2016 14:30:06 GMT From CASE: 11829710 -
Event Earlier, Field Services investigated and located the fiber cut, caused by
a local gas company performing work in the area. A 432-count fiber cable was
damaged by the work. The cable is marked as belonging to the last mile
provider. The last mile provider dispatched their field technician, who is now
onsite evaluating the damage.
