Hi everyone I'm using an 8500 w/Pwrlogix G3 @ 333Mhz, 8.6 OS. I've been printing to an Epson Stylus Pro XL using Birmy RIP to simulate Postscript, outputting through the Local Talk serial cable. I just acquired an HP5000 laser printer and the appropriate Jet Connect connectivity card for the Mac serial connection. So far so good. The HP manual says to use the Laserwriter 8 postscript printer driver in the chooser. Fine, this I choose in the chooser. But after clicking on that icon, the portion of the dialogue box on the right that lists all the printer PPD's is empty !! I've loaded all the printer descriptions from the HP c-d that came with the printer etc. Can anyone help me know what I may be missing? How can I get the printers to appear in the chooser? 'cause right now I'm dead in the water. Thanks in advance Hilary Perth -- Outback Mac is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
