Plug and Play is different to Hot-Swappable.

For the most part SCSI devices are somewhat "Plug and Play".  As long 
as everything is set right.  What devices are you wondering about? 
Scanners will usually need a TWAIN plugin installed or some sampling 
software, hard disks will just need to be formatted, Zip drives need 
an INIT (included with OS 8.6+) etc.
