Hey all,
I have just been given some 168 Pin DIMMS that I would have thought would
fit my Power Mac 7200/120. When I tried to install them, I found that they
are a different shape to the ones I already have installed. The two groves
that are taken out of the RAM cards to separate the different pins are about
1-2mm off. I managed to squeeze the cards in, but got an error when I tried
to boot.
What I am asking is:
1. What Macs do these fit? I have tried on a 6360/120 and 7200/120.
2. Can I 'modify' the cards to fit? (file away the bits that don't fit,
being careful not to take away any of the circuitry)
Thanks in advance,
Matthew.
