Hi Maria, You will need a Midi Adapter which plugs into a serial port. Into this you plug your Midi Cables to and from your Keyboard, or from the Keyboard and to your Sound Module - i.e a send and return from controller to sound source. The Software depends on what you want to do with music - what do you want to do?
For notation: Finale is the best and Sibelius is also very good. For Sequencing: Mark of the Unicorn, Logic Audio and Cubase. For Jamming: Band In A Box In Canberra you can try Pro Audio - they should be able to help.
