Peter I recently got an Epson 1650 Perfection and installed the beta drivers. I also installed the beta Canon ScanGear CS-U - 6.2 drivers. <http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=14167&db=mac> Apparently the Canons ones install an extra bit that helps the Epson ones work better. In any event, it seems to scan just fine, does twain acquire through Graphic Converter (4.4) and PS 7. Omnipage Pro X also works.
