Hi all,

Think I might have killed a 7100. Let me know what you think.

Originally received without a PDS card. Booted several times off a
system 7.5 floppy (from apple networking image), without problem.

Now I've finally got an AV card in, and have a hard disk. Seems very
unstable off any boot disk - internal or floppy. Can't install a
clean system, as it has no internal CD-ROM, and isn't stable long
enough to create one of a networked computer. Tech tool pro keeps
crashing, so can't test for problems.

I can't see how the system could be at fault (its so minimal), so my
only conclusions are either 1) running with the PDS vacant caused
damage or; 2) the ram speeds are different? Two 32Mb SIMMS installed,
both pulled from different macs (a Quadra 660av and a Quadra 605).

Thoughts?

Cheers,

Scott
