Seeing how it's been a bit quiet around here lately, here's a question :

I have an iMac (slot-loading 350MHz, OS 9.1, 576Mb RAM) that is taking a hugely long
time to start file sharing on a LAN. I've had a poke around the Apple support site but
I can't conjure up the winning string to get an answer there ...

1) has anyone seen file sharing startup times measured on the order of 30 minutes?

2) anyone have *any* ideas on what might be going on?

Thanks in advance,
