Hi everyone,
I am going to the US for about 4 months, and would like to take my iBook
with me. I have the Yoyo style power adapter, which says it can take power
between 100 and 240 volts. Presumably, so that apple only makes one
converter, and many different leads that then plug into the wall.
My question is, does any one have a lead that would plug into a US power
outlet? I will ask on the US mailing lists if this returns nothing, but
thought I would give the opportunity here first.
Thanks,
Wiebe.
You can pick up an adapter type of plug anywhere in the US for a few dollars. You plug your Australian two/three pin plug into the back of a US one which then plugs into the wall socket. You can get them in travel goods stores here before you go or at the airport on the way out but I have always found it cheaper to get one when I arrive in the US. And yes I have had to do it several times and I always forget to take the last one I bought with me from here!
Cheers
