Hello fellow out-backers, I would post this request to a swap list, but they all tend to be based in the US, where I prefer to deal with locals...
I have a 500Mhz iBook, with the straight DVD drive. I would like to be able to swap that drive out, replacing it with a DVD/CDRW combo drive. I have seen various instructions on the internet for performing such surgery, and have no worries getting my hands dirty, so to speak. Does anybody have such a drive? Perhaps from an iBook they have stripped down, and are parting out? I would love to be able to burn CD�s without having to lug around an external burner... I am based in Wollongong/Sydney so I can pick up anything in that area.
