Hi All I have just set up a desktop G3 for my father (If I am a silver surfer then what does that make him!). Anyway the machine has a Banksia 56k serial modem operating at 33.6 (not flashed to 56k - no point on our phone lines).
It has 9.2.1 installed but 'Remote Access' control panel shows the connection speed as 110k which is the speed of the serial port and not the connection speed through the modem. My G4 remote connection through the in-built Apple modem shows 28.8k (sometimes 33.6) for the connection. I would prefer his remote access to show the phone line speed rather than the serial port speed. Since we are using the same OS I presume that the displayed speed is related to the modem script rather than the OS. Is there something I can do to his modem script so that the correct speed is displayed?
