My external 8Gb HDD though, is fairly vital to me - I have lots of software on it, makes it easy to set up Macs to give to students!

apropo batteries and totally unmac related, i opened teh back of a mobile phone battery pack to find 4 aaa size batteries soldered together.
It was a battery from an ericsson a1018s i got off ebay for 8$. it was starting to lose charge so i bought another battery for $9 from strathfield.
i have seen those halfsize batteries at dse and tandy.
now while im here...
does anyone have early 90's apple branded external cased harddrives or cd-roms they want to rid themselves of ? working and non-working considered.
