hmmmm - not sure if its worth the effort...
You could plug an external Apple monitor into the video out of the
iMac, or you could use it as a "headless" server controlling it via
SSH, telnet and Remote Control.
I have also seen a "chopped iMac with screen and top half of case
removed for duty as a server.
