Test Analyst Duties will include: • Test management and test analysis • Development of test data from existing test cases • Recording and updating of Test Plans and Test Cases using our defect tracking tool, Mercury Quality Centre • Analysis and development of master data and master data bases • Test execution • Unstructured/ad-hoc testing • Test creation and documentation • Creation and maintenance of Test Scenarios • Creation and maintenance of automated regression test scripts • Identifying and performing initial analysis of defects found • Liaising with the Test Team Lead on status and completion of product release based work • Input of own ideas for functionality, process or code improvement The following technical experience is mandatory: • Microsoft Windows NT/2000 • Microsoft desktop applications: Word and Excel • Experience in Mercury Quality Centre • Experience using SQL for interrogating data Advantageous: • Experience in automated test tools, ideally Mercury Quick Test Pro (QTP) • SQL Server 2000/2005 • Visual SourceSafe • Programming • Windows NT administration • Attention to detail • Dedication to deliver to deadlines • Knowledge of Share Registry and Financial Systems concepts and workflow • Flexible approach to work, including hours • Lateral thinker, with a broad outlook, solution oriented • An ability to learn on the job Education: A Degree in Computing, Business, or Information Processing is preferred, but not mandatory. Experience: 2-3 years in a system testing role, within a software development project. Some other related business experience would be advantageous.
