Associate Java Developer RESPONSIBILITIES: · Gather business requirements and translate them into an ERS design. · Responsible for designing and maintaining custom ERS tables. · Work closely with business users to propose solutions to equipment allocation issues and enhancement requests. · Work with the Configurator and Inventory team to ensure that the ERS system seamlessly integrates with existing and new Configurator models. · Design and write Java functions based on knowledge of Oracle’s Configurator Interface Objects (CIO). · Design new Java objects for the ERS system. · Write functional companions for Oracle Configurator 11.5.9 · Modify JSP pages and write JavaScript. · Write SQL Procedures that will be used to query the CZ and INV and BOM schemas that will be used by the ERS system. · Responsible for user interface design for functional companions. · Gather requirements from users for functional companions and SQL procedures. · Write design documents for Java code, SQL procedures and functional companions. · Work with business users to develop test case scenarios that will be used by the QA team. · Test functional companions and SQL procedures as part of configurator development enhancements. · Work with the business to prioritize enhancement requests and provide detailed estimates for analysis design and unit testing. · Provide production support for ERS, functional companions and SQL procedures. · Work with the QA team to resolve testing issues. · Perform requirements analysis, develop functional design specifications utilizing Oracle AIM methodologies and supporting Mercury tools. · Work with other IT functional areas during requirements and analysis phases of the release process. · Write design documents and maintain all existing ERS system documentation. · Unit test code changes, prepare test plans and adhere to established coding standard · Resolve SRs (Service Requests) related to Configurator, Inventory, and Bills of Material issues with Oracle Support · Update HP Quality Center or other release tools as part of the release management process · Support Release Coordinator as needed with Production Support requests · Participate in team meetings · Document ways to improve existing team processes · Provide regular progress reports to team management SKILLS: · College degree or equivalent work related experience with a minimum of H.S Diploma or GED required. · Minimum three years developing Java, JSP and JavaScript code as well as SQL Procedures. · Minimum three years of professional experience performing business analysis and end-user support with Oracle 11.5.9 applications. · Knowledge of Oracle Configurator Interface Objects (CIO) required. · Knowledge of Oracle Applications including Configurator, Inventory and Bills of Material required. · Knowledge of Oracle Sales Online, Quoting, Installed Base, and OM a plus. · Knowledge of Oracle CZ, INV, BOM and ONT schemas required. · Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required. · Ability to systematically analyze problems and propose algorithmic solutions required. · Experience with scheduling or resource allocation algorithms a plus. · Knowledge of HP Quality Center or equivalent tools a plus. · Ability to work autonomously and proactively. · Ability to multi-task, to work under pressure, and meet deadlines. · Masters Degree in a business or computer related field, or equivalent work experience. · A firm understanding of the software development life cycle including the analytical skills necessary to satisfy testing documentation and Change Management requirements. · Knowledge of the software development life cycle · Familiarity with Oracle Sales Online, Quoting, Installed Base, OM, etc. a plus · Knowledge of Oracle’s AIM methodology, experience writing BR030s, MD050s, MD070s and MD120s · Knowledge of HP Quality Center a plus · Self-motivated and able to take initiative · Able to interface with business users at all levels of the organization · Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines · Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills · Ability to acquire, absorb, and apply complex business knowledge to problems quickly · Ability to work as part of a team · Ability to follow well defined release management processes · Ability to multi task and still stay focused on release priorities · Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project To apply for this position, please visit this Website.
