Software Quality Assurance Job Description: Perform software verification activities as a part of the overall software development process. The primary responsibilities of the validation engineer are to: - Verify through testing or inspection that the product functionality meets the software requirements - Creating software validation test scripts and executing these scripts to verify design meets intended requirements - Plan and implement configuration of physical setup of equipment - Record, in writing, all tests and planning sessions - Inducing system errors to verify software behavior is as defined in the specification - Create/ track software defects in the defect tracking database and verify closure of defects - Report passed and failed requirements to validation lead and project team and manager - Communicate task status in writing to the validation lead and manager - Interact with validation and development personnel on a project Must have knowledge of how software verification / validation activities integrate within a software development process. Knowledge of any of the following items is a plus: - FDA Design Control regulations - Various programming languages, such as C ++, C or Visual Basic - Communication protocols, such as LIS 3, HL7 - Automated testing tools, such as QTP - Chemistry - Calculated Parameters for Blood Gas analytes - Corrections using slope and offset - Statistical Data Analysis - Experience with medical devices The validation engineer skills include: - Black-box, performance, back -end, stress and load testing, as required Thank you, Team SQAFYI - Software QA Resource FYI http://sqa.fyicenter.com -- Introduce business in 3800 cities.
