EN-780 Engineering Technician - Staff - San Diego CA or Orlando FL (Local Candidates Only)
A defense contractor that specializes in providing engineering and technician-level support to DoD depots is adding an Engineering Technician to their team. In this position you will support an Electrical Engineer as an alternate technical point of contact for the fleet, the Avionics Engineering Competency for in-service technical and engineering issues pertaining to V-22 Osprey avionics, wiring, and electrical systems. Duties include: o. Participating in reviews, investigations and analysis of avionics malfunctions and discrepancies and support the resolution of identified problems. o. Working under the supervision of electrical engineers or independently to provide technical decisions, engineering advice, and information to the Naval Air Systems team. o. Coordinating issues with the V-22 Avionics Lead Engineer (System Engineer) and provide technical decisions and engineering dispositions as well as interfacing with other activities, manufactures, and contractors. o. Assisting in the development of engineering designs and review and evaluate contactor proposals for improved designs and redesigns and supporting implementation of design changes in prototype installations. o. Supporting the incorporation of design modifications into the avionics systems in order to resolve or reduce safety hazards, and to enhance performance, reliability, or maintainability. o. Preparing technical reports and briefings regarding completed technical project work, presenting results, conclusions, and recommendations. Requirements: o. 4+ years experience as military avionic systems technician (Required) o. Must have an active Secret security clearance and be eligible to obtain a Top Secret security clearance (Required) o. Experience as a V-22 avionic systems technician a major plus (Required) Notes: o.
