*Please respond to [email protected]* * * *BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST with **Product Portfolio Management** (PPM)* *Duration: 4 Months* *Location: Valhalla, NY* Client is looking for a business systems analyst responsible for business requirements gathering and analysis for the R&D and Innovation Product Portfolio Management (PPM) Accolade client/server solution. *Job duties include: * - Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as production and inventory control systems, financial tracking systems, marketing and human resources systems. - Represents the business unit to define requirements and business cases for the technology developments. Coordinates with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. - Assignments are received in task oriented terms. - Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall quality and efficiency. - Administers and executes policies and procedures that typically affect individual subordinate employees. - Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of predominately highly skilled non-exempt and entry level exempt employees. - Meets the minimum requirements of executive exemption under the Fair Labor Standards Act. - Monitors daily operations of a unit and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional businesses, ongoing operational tasks of organization units. - Ensures that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures and schedules. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to achieve results might cause delays in program schedules and result in the allocation of more resources. Majority of liaison is on internal basis with subordinates and supervisors at equivalent level or one level higher. - Liaison normally involves specific phases of a project or operation. - External contacts are infrequent and involve routine matters. 6 - 8 years of experience, with related - Support global business process reengineering efforts toward a common Stage Gating and Portfolio Management process. *Requires: * - Strong analytical and process management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. - Elicit business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis and deliver the following documentation as needed: (Functional requirements, Use Cases, Screen Mock Ups and Interface designs) Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. - Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. - Serves as the conduit between the user customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow. - Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. - Work with technical team to identify best design for extraction, conversion and/or set-up of system data set to meet business process design requirements - Work with other functional teams to complete full system test and UAT of business scenarios and integrated business scenarios. *Requirements and Skills * - 5-8 years of experience analyzing business requirements. - Experience with Stage Gating and Portfolio Management business process preferred. - Strong facilitation, analytical, change management, project management and negotiation skills. - College degree in (Business, Computer Science, Operations Management), MBA preferred - Recent Package Software Configuration Experience preferred. - New Product Introduction Domain Knowledge is a plus - *Data Modeling* skills is a plus - Microsoft Office skills - Strong interpersonal and influence management skills - knowledge of *e-commerce* tools, computer system capabilities, business processes, and work flow.
