Enhance existing Linux “gold images” of Point of Sales systems targeted for
the client’s stores to be secure and PCI compliant. Such an environment
will enable Client to leverage a Linux platform for IT solutions.
*Target Image Types*
Novell SuSE SLES 10 sp2 64 bit
DSL Linux 4.4.10
Novell SuSE SLEPOS SLE11 32 bit
*Following are the responsibilities*
- Prepare the OS bed for deploying the POS image with the following
characteristic
- Working/Final production ready images
- PCI Compliant (for 2010 standards)
- Secure system for a retail environment
(based upon industry best practices)

- Documented categorized list of enhances beyond the provided base images
- Demonstration with Documentation
- Identification of all tool sets required to achieve compliance
- Related configuration file locations and specific settings
- Related log file locations and relevant event descriptions
- Update procedures for OS, applications, and required toolsets
- Bootstrap process for security related services
- Linux Administration
