This essentially is a "reporting job" Cognos reporting.* ** * *** * *** *Our client has started a project to implement Cognos within the Studio business areas. They are implementing planning, forecasting and reporting. They are implementing this in 4 waves with business areas grouped together in each wave. They are currently in wave 1 and they are in the "build phase". During the data gathering for wave 1, several processes were identified as candidates for this implementation. Due to the complexity and timing, they were deferred for a later wave. The project needs a business analyst to document those requirements in detail so that the project team can estimate the level of effort to implement them in Cognos. The processes include the following : - Studio IT Capital Planning process - Theatrical plan by Title - Economic Profit - Profit by Product This Business Analyst/PM will review the documentation collected to date. They will then be meeting with the business units involved in these processes. In these meetings, the Analyst will gather, document and map the workflow that is required in order to meet their business objectives . The analyst will identify process improvements, risk areas and areas to automate etc. The analyst will then review the findings with the project team who will then estimate the level of effort to implement these in a Cognos solution. Currently, the businesses manage these processes in excel, access and in SAP's planning and forecasting tool. The Studio segment is implementing the Cognos Planning tool for all such scenarios. This analyst will ideally have the following experience and/or skills : Participated in a planning and forecasting process improvement project Experience, gathering and mapping requirements for the Cognos Forecasting Tool (specifically). If they do not have specific Cognos Forecasting tool, another similar tool, such as the SAP , Khalix or Hyperian tools would be a close second! Experience working within a Studio environment and understanding the various business units and the terminology associated with the business would be extremely helpful.
