Our Redwood City, CA Senior MySQL Database Administrator for a 3-6 month contract in the mid-peninsula area. * Must have extensive MYSQL (5.x) DBA experience Storage Engines Recovery, Backup and Restore Replication Clusters INODB MYISAM Performance Parameters Troubleshooting *Must have solid Oracle (9.x) DBA experience *Must have strong Linux and Unix System Administration *Must have Production and Development DBA experience in a MySQL environment *Must have MySQL and Code tuning *Must have experience in capacity planning performance and Load Testing. *Will install, configure and upgrade of MySQL server software and related products *Will be participating in establishing and maintaining sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. *Will perform application tuning and performance monitoring *Will be maintaining documentation and standards *Will work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required *Will perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams *Will participate in Disk layout and Disk capacity planning *Work with development team extensively.
