The state's public health data system is referred to as CARES (Client Automated Reporting and Encounter System). CARES is the data system for state's public health services beginning with prenatal care. CARES integrates the WIC, Child Health, Adult Health, and Immunization programs. The CARES system design, architecture, database structure all adhere to the agency's data model. SC DHEC is looking to enhance the functionality of CARES to update the process of merging duplicate data records. This will cover both changes made inside the CARES application and by other sources. This scope of work consists of the following tasks: *Task 1: *Validate the rule specifications currently used by the de-duplication process. * * *Task 2: *Develop a new de-duplication application using the validated specifications from step 1. * * *Task 3: *Work with CARES data analyst to test the new de-duplication application. * * *Task 4: *Provide documentation, both system and user, test results and user training on application.
