Required Sr Business Systems Analyst Location : Princton NJ *MUST HAVE AN EAD, GC, OR CITIZENSHIP OF US * *MUST HAVE POWER DESIGNER 12.0 EXP.** * *Description:*** The candidate filling this Business Systems Analyst - SR position under general direction, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of ETS business systems and industry requirements. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirements specifications. Candidate will possess full technical knowledge of most phases of systems analysis, and also considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. * * *Responsibilities: * § Facilitate communications between IT and the business § Provide consultancy and advice on functionality, applicability, and usability of technology solutions to project requirements § Capture, analyze, and document business requirements § Accurately translate and ensure traceability of business requirements into use cases, functional requirements , etc. in the format as defined in the Software Development Life Cycle § Evaluate existing applications to identify areas of improvements § Perform functional analysis, working with business owners and technology contacts within ETS § Interact with software development groups in change control, issues resolution, requirements gathering, analysis and design, risk analysis, risk mitigation § Assist in the preparation of the user testing strategy and user testing execution plan § Verify the look and feel of testing output to ensure it meets the requirements of the business § Assist in coordination of software acceptance testing, resulting in Business area Signoff. § Consult with the ETS Enterprise Architecture Office (EAO), Information Protection Office (IPO), and Solution Architecture Team on the SBU/FCE’s needs to ensure that the business strategies align with ETS’ information technology architectural standards and guidelines § Manage tasks and provide status; working in conjunction with the Lead Business Systems Analyst to implement project activities § Prepare major milestones project schedules, cost estimates requests, issues logs, action items statements of work, use cases, and project-related documentation § Function as a contact for problem analysis and provide support for resolution of issues *Experience**:* At least 5 years of knowledge and application of Software Development lifecycle methods, approaches, and techniques are required. Excellent oral and written communications skills are required to consult with business owners, end-users, clients, vendors and other internal staff. § PowerDesigner 12.0 § MS Office Suite *Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**:* § Planning, organization and prioritizing skills § Problem solving and analytical skills § Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision § Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills § Strong presentation and facilitation skills § Good interpersonal skills to function in a team environment and to work with business owners, end-users, clients, vendors and other internal staff. § Customer focus § Business acumen in the area as required for the assignment/project § Familiarity with software development lifecycle methods, approaches, and techniques § Strong proficiency in technical aspects of assigned technology area including experience in implementation of technical solutions Five, or more years of experience and general knowledge in systems analysis, design, development and documenting/testing. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
