Position: MYSQL Solutions Architect Location: Conway, AR (Remote work possible) Duration: 5 Months + Rate: Market Start Date: ASAP Description: They need an architect to drive the design with the client. We need someone with the skills to define extract processes and knowledge of how to map feeds from existing solution into MYSQL database. The current contractor is a good developer but does not possess this level of skill. They are looking for someone that can drive the design of a MYSQL database migration. Additional Info: The existing application is a Microsoft SQL Server solution. The client has taken ownership of creating the extract files from the existing database. We will be responsible for loading those files into MySQL, and for designing/coding/testing PERL code that encapsulates the SQL that does selects/inserts/updates to the MySQL database after initial migration. There is one primary web/real-time application that will be feeding/querying the MySQL database. There may be a limited number of regularly scheduled batch files that update the MySQL database that this person will be responsible for defining. Lastly, there will be a number of extracts from the MySQL database that the individual will be responsible for designing.
