Under moderate supervision, design, develop and implement computer applications and systems. Develop cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications that are moderately complex. Analyze system requirements and existing business processes and information systems, and identify, evaluate, and select technologies (frameworks, models and tools) that will facilitate technology direction. Assist in systems planning, scheduling, implementation and driving the integration of new technologies into the existing environment. Initiates corrective action to stay on schedule. Creates prototypes. Codes tests, debugs, documents and implements moderately complex software applications. Required Skills: Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Springs, Struts, UNIX, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Apache Tomcat, Perl 1. 5+ years of software development experience in a full life cycle environment. 2. Expert level Java development skills. 3. Experience with JDBC, SQL with working knowledge of Oracle/Sybase is required. 4. Working knowledge of object-oriented analysis and development methodology. 5. Experience with design and implementation of scalable distributed systems is preferred. 6. Experience with UNIX or Linux is preferred. 7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 8. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. 9. Strong interpersonal skills. 10. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams. 11. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. 12. Acute attention to detail.
