The role of the consultant will be to plan, evaluate and make recommendations on the overall security for the clients HR/CMS PeopleSoft v9.0 application system and the platform it runs on. Individuals should possess security “lead” experience with large organizations, which have implemented and/or upgraded large ERP packaged software systems. The initial duration of this contact assignment is for a 6 month period. POSITION OVERVIEW: - Develop an overall plan for all of the areas of Security that should be reviewed which will Include Infrastructure, Application, Database, Segregation of Duties, and End User Roles and Responsibilities) - Define the detailed work plan and timeline - Incorporate all aspects the Commonwealths 504 Executive Order, Confidentiality of Employee Data into the overall security strategy - Execute the plan and perform the work necessary to accomplish the scope of effort - Coordinate input and feedback on requirements with the Commonwealth Security Office and Stakeholders. - Develop a Security Report and Strategy which covers the scope of the security reviewed, issues and areas for improvement, risks areas and mitigation strategy, and recommendations. - Ensure that HR/CMS is both 504 compliant and can pass a Commonwealth audit performed by the external auditors - Ideal candidate will articulate a strategic direction, understand the functional / technical aspects of the requirements and recommend feasible solutions to achieving the strategy REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE (5 years mandatory minimum experience): - Understanding of Segregation of Duties and how they apply to Security for both developers and users - Experience with PeopleSoft HRMS application security in version 8.9 or 9.0 - In-depth understanding security component involved in PeopleSoft Application security (e.g. roles and permission lists, row level department access, operator defaults, etc); PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (i.e. PIA); - Excellent understanding of Infrastructure security in an IBM P570 environment, - Excellent understanding of database security for Oracle 11i environment - Understanding of portal concepts, specifically as they relate to PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal security and rollout of self-service functionality over the web to 90,000+ employees - Strong facilitation, communication, team building, negotiation and influencing skills - Ability to interact with all management levels of State government - Experience with large organizations (50,000+ employee populations) - Proven verbal and written communication skills - Experience leading internal focus groups for gathering requirements - Analytical thinker and ability to analyze the application security current state and make recommendations ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - One of more of the following certifications - CISSP(Certified Information Systems Security Professional) desired - CISA(Certified Information System Auditor) desired - SANS GIAC(Global Information Assurance Certification) desired - ISO 27000-series information security standards.
