Location: Houston TX (onsite interview required) Max Rate: $51/hr Duration: 3 months + (likely extension) Minimum 6 years of experience and 2 years in an Architect role currently recruiting for a Sharepoint Architect with Moss 2007 for a 3 month + contract with our direct clients an international insurance company with offices in Houston, TX JOB DESCRIPTION for SHAREPOINT ARCHITECT SharePoint Architect/Developer needed to provide technical expertise to a new SharePoint development group using MOSS 2007. KNOWLEDGE ? SharePoint knowledge will include architectural design, web parts development, web services development, server installation and configuration, deploying and supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations. ? Demonstrated knowledge and development experience with Microsoft .NET technologies is required (ASP.NET 2.0/3.x, C#, XML, BizTalk Server, and SQL Server, and SharePoint Designer). ? Have knowledge be able to analyze the need for 3rd party tools for search, administration, workflows, etc. ? Experience working in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). ? Knowledge of SharePoint authentication security including Kerberos. EXPERIENCE ? Hands on implementations of MOSS 2007 in an enterprise environment including configuring search, BDC, AD integration, InfoPath forms server, Excel services, workflows, and KPI reporting. ? In depth experience with Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and/or Business Intelligence is required. ? Experience with Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint and application security centered around the SharePoint document library is desired. ? Ability to evaluate, select and articulate product strategies between MOSS 2007, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, Microsoft Search Server and Microsoft Office Forms Server 2007. ? Experience with SharePoint Templates (Application Templates, Master Pages, Role-Based Templates, and the Community Kit for SharePoint). ? Experience working with software design principles. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS ? Design, document and implement an appropriate SDLC process. ? Document best practices for developers. ? Knowledge transfer to development staff in implementing development technologies for MOSS 2007, including SharePoint designer, .NET, Visual Studio, and Silverlight framework. ? Work with staff to recommend and create a production and QA server farm architecture including MOSS 2007 with search and workflow, as well as other MOSS services. ? Advise and assist in implementing the security configuration. ? Assist in implementing and configuring and MOSS server farm including configuring search, BDC, AD integration, InfoPath forms server, Excel services, workflows, and KPI reporting. ? Recommend methods for sizing and benchmarking. ? Create prototype web sites and templates from site requirements including wire-frames, styles, and branding into SharePoint sites using best development practices. QUALIFICATIONS ? Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience ? Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred ? Six or more years of experience in software engineering or operating systems programming ? Experience working with software design principles OTHER QUALIFICATIONS ? Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills to resolve highly complex software design issues and create new software for multiple products ? Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel ? Strong interpersonal skills to interact with senior customers, management and team members ?
