Position: .Net Web Developer Location: Indianapolis, IN Duration: 6 + months Client is recreating its project scheduling and project management application from a legacy PowerBuilder application to web-based .Net application in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 (VB .NET, ASP.NET, AJAX). The project began in August of 2009 and is considered to be half way through development stage. The new system is modeled as domain object model using UML in multi-layer architecture. The successful candidate should have strong skills in understanding UML models and developing code for business objects. They must also have strong skills in OOPS concepts and learn the defined architecture very quickly. In addition, they will assist in the creation of Web pages, code-behind the pages, factory objects using the transactional/data business objects and utility objects in a multi-layer environment. The person will work on the presentation tier; including validations, user controls, exception handling, business classes, and reports. In addition the person should have knowledge in developing PL/SQL stored procedures and calling PL/SQL stored procedures from .net. Experience: Six years minimum experience in software development industry Four years minimum experience in .net Web development in complex designed projects Required Knowledge • Advanced knowledge working with Visual Studio.net 2008 technologies (VB.net, ASP.net, AJAX, Web parts) • Advanced knowledge in using Java Script/DHTML technologies. • Advanced knowledge of .net class libraries. (Framework 3.5) • Advanced knowledge with designing and developing Web pages (style sheets, themes, dynamic navigation, user controls) • Advanced knowledge with Oracle Data Provider objects and ADO.net Provider objects. • Advanced knowledge in using .net data validation controls, caching objects and session objects. • Hands-on experience with Oracle Stored procedures (Oracle 10G) – PL/SQL • Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and views. • Hands-on experience in creating reports using Crystal. • Hands –on experience in developing and configuring Window Services using Microsoft .net technologies. • Working knowledge of using .net Data Providers within (Membership providers, Role providers, Site Map providers) • Advanced knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis/Object Oriented Design methodologies in multi-layer architecture. • Working knowledge in creating XML web methods and calling outside XML Web services from .net application. • Working knowledge in deploying and configuring a Web site in IIS (IIS 6, IIS 7).
