*Location:* Philadelphia, PA** *Start:* ASAP** *Duration: *12 months Contract *Minimum Requirements: *Business Analyst - Web Technology and Financial services *Key responsibilities include: * - Understand the client application environments - Understand how the business uses these applications and the suitability of the current platform in supporting the business - Detailed analysis and documentation of the application platform components to be integrated - Participate in shaping the solution and project to successfully integrate the environment - Establishing strong relationships with business users and IT teams - Streamline existing processes through innovation and technical analysis - Test and validate new functionality - Facilitate business of completed functionality - We are seeking an individual who has a proven track record in the following: - Has experience working in, and a high degree of knowledge of, *Mutual Funds and Asset Management Funds industry * - Has experience working with *SalesForce, CRM or Content Management Systems* - Has a technical background such as experience using and deploying database technologies, programming or technical architecture (SQL, Sybase, MS SQL) - Has good time management - Enjoys working under pressure to provide timely and accurate analysis of systems - Is capable of working towards goals under minimal supervision - Has strong analytical skills, displaying an ability to work with different technologies - Enjoys working directly with business users - Using best practice business analysis principles - a. Process Definition: Use Cases, Diagrams, Business Rules, Constraints, Assumptions b. Interviewing Business Users: Extract the process workflow, business benefit, and the risks/issues from system users. c. Documenting Processes and Functionality: Ability to write clearly and concisely expressing an objective view. d. Sponsorship / Stakeholder Identification: Ability to seek out the key users for an application. e. Prioritization - Ability to prioritize pieces of work based on business benefit, risk, and other priorities. f. Exit Criteria and Acceptance - Ability to clearly define S.M.A.R.T. exit criteria and user acceptance test cases. - Is able to adapt to different project styles - from detailed specifications to agile story definition, applying core business analysis principles. - Understands importance of communication and is able to communicate effectively. - Is a motivated individual - always striving to improve their skill set (without supervision) and keep informed of best practices in the industry - Has a diplomatic style with the ability to influence and direct where necessary. *Essential to the role are: * - An understanding of various business analysis techniques and methodologies - their benefits and pitfalls. - Excellent problem solving abilities and sound technical skills - Project management principles and a clear understanding of the role of the Business Analyst. - In depth knowledge of the SDLC (Software Development Life-cycle) and the importance of each phase. - Test Case Definition / User Acceptance Test gate - Strong communication skills - both verbal and written - Sound technical understanding of how systems work - with the ability to perform basic SQL and UNIX commands. - A strong appreciation of key business drivers and an understanding of the IT impact upon the business are required *Preference *- strong knowledge and experience experience working in, and a high degree of knowledge of, Mutual Funds and Asset Management Funds.
