Dur : 6months Clent is seeking a Software Engineer with 5+ years of Software Engineering and Systems Administration experience in an Enterprise Linux environment. This position is part of the Educational and Professional Services Consulting team within the IT organization. *Required Experience:* ** 5+ years in software engineering with emphasis in Java enterprise applications * Competency in managing Linux systems (RHCT certification a big plus)* *Required Skills:* * Experience developing JEE and JSE applications using JBoss application server or equivalent * Demonstrates good judgment in selecting design patterns and techniques for solution designs and implementation * Understands industry best practices and familiar with emerging technologies and new methods of development * Must be proficient with the following technologies: - Languages: Java 5.0 or higher - JEE Implementations: JMS, JDBC, EJB 3, Servlet (MVC designs) - Databases: Oracle with PL/SQL coding experience, MySQL (optional) - Web Servers: Apache / JBoss / Tomcat - Build Systems and Package Management: Maven / RPM / Hudson (optional) - System Configuration: Cobbler / Puppet (optional and a big plus) - Source Code Control: GIT (optional), Subversion - Operating Systems: RHEL 4 / RHEL 5 / Fedora including exposure to administration of virtualized environments (XEN / KVM) * Optional Skills: - Saba Learning Management System or other LMS - Oracle Applications - Business Objects - Agile and Test Driven development techniques.
