* * * * *Position: **EMC** Storage Management position* Duration: 6+ months Location: Orlando, FL * * *RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:* Essential functions of the job are listed below. *Capacity Planning/Forecasting* - Meet with business units to collect storage forecasting information - Plan storage capacity across storage subsystems and Disney data centers *Space Monitoring* - Monitor disk subsystems for free space thresholds and take necessary action to ensure acceptable levels are maintain across storage units , storage tiers and Disney data centers - Storage pool threshold monitoring *Configuration Management* - Assist supplier with determining data placement across disk arrays - Assist suppliers with determining how disk arrays should be configured based on requirements *Storage Reporting* - Assist supplier with development of storage related metrics *Performance Monitoring* - Establish and monitor baseline application performance *Problem Resolution* - Work with business units and storage suppliers on resolving storage related issues *Billing/Chargeback Reporting* - Ensure billing/chargeback and storage operational reports are being generate in a timely manner and verify accuracy *Storage Platform Governance* - Constantly look to improve the efficiency of storage hardware and software resources - Analyze and identify the source of storage/application performance deficiencies and coordinate necessary improvements - Monitor OS based storage related software and ensure storage supplier is following best practices and keeping current levels - Monitor storage subsystem micro code levels *TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED* *Good understanding and working knowledge with the following:* - EMC storage hardware and software technologies - IBM storage hardware and software technologies - NetApps NAS solutions and functionality - SAN fabrics - Good knowledge of IBM/EMC storage reporting tools (TPC and ECC) - Must be familiar with deployment of SAN/NAS storage across Unix HP-UX, AIX, SUN and Intel based operating systems - Storage performance tuning, capacity p * * Thanks, Divya P *XpertTech Inc* 400 W Cummings Park, Suite#5450A Woburn, MA-01801 Email: [email protected] Phone: 781-787-0898 Fax: 978-405-5040 www.xperttech.com Note: Under Bill s.1618 Title III passed by the 105th U.S. Congress this mail cannot be considered Spam as long as we include contact information and a remove link for removal from our mailing list.
