Thanks! *7 QA Opportunities in Palo Alto, CA:* Industry -Publishing – Digital Media commerce Start ASAP - September - with option to continue Location - Palo Alto, CA (prefer local candidates only) April 5, 2010 – last start date possible We are looking for 7 QA – manual, eComm experience testing would be preferred *Additional information:* Cultural: open, willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done, 5 months to do something that has never been done, have to have the mindset that they are going to be a part of something amazing. Someone from digital publishing full service, media or book or commerce space would be great (not a have to have, just ideal), super client skills, super client facing as this role will be heavy in client facing. 1st major release will be in aug *Major Activities * *Test Planning & Execution* - Use the test case design techniques to convert medium complexity application requirements to high level test cases - Design low level test cases from high level test cases with minimal guidance from the test lead - Create integration/end to end scenarios for with guidance from test lead - Create a test execution plan / strategy for a low complexity application for a test cycle - Apply lesson learnt from previous releases with minimal guidance from test lead - Ensure that the processes like escalation plan, communication plan, daily - meetings are being followed during execution by owning up different activities - during test cycle execution - Identify the test cases for regression and retires the redundant test cases Test Execution - Apply different techniques to do freeform testing - Verify the actual test results for each test case and match the expected results *Defect Documentation * - Define defect life cycle process for a project with guidance from test lead - Identify high quality/critical defects - Log defects by accurately adding steps with proper details and documentation - Retest the defects and take them to closure - Create reports from the defect management tool *Testing tools * - Work on at least one of the automation tool (QTP, Selenium, Rational, Watir), performance tools (load runner, Web load etc) and defect management tools (Test Director, Quality centre) - Appear for certification test for the industry standard tools *COMPETENCY PROFILE * Certifications, Defect Documentation, Test Execution, Test Scripting, Testing Tools *DOMAIN COMPETENCIES * ** - Certification in at least one defect management tool (QC, Test Director, QACenter, ClearCase etc) and one automation testing tool (QTP, SilkTest, Test Partner etc) or one performance testing tool (LoadRunner, SilkPerformer etc) or testing certifications (CSTE, CSTP, ISTQB, CSQA) - Define the defect documentation and TAR lifecycle process for a project with guidance from test lead. - Encourage logging defect details including steps to reproduce and possible causes for the defect. - Uses the reporting capabilities of the defect management tool. - Create a test execution plan / strategy for a low – medium complexity application for a test cycle applying lessons learnt from previous cycles with minimal guidance from the project leads. - Ensure team follows processes during execution and updates the relevant documentation required during cycle closure. - Test the functionality using different testing techniques (monkey testing etc). - Detect different types of defects including security, usability, and UI related defects THANKS KUMAR 469-449-7580 [email protected] __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4968 (20100323) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com -- Introduce business in 3800 cities.
