Oracle DBA experience - on both Intel and Unix (HP / AIX) Installing Oracle Upgrading oracle Oracle RAC experience on Linux in a large shop, with a large deployment Backup / recovery using RMAN Performance tuning Can demonstrate previous implementation of proactive monitoring of a database Unix Korn shell scripting Perl scripting - solid skills / experience required Excellent communication skills If you need a definition of a DBA vs a Database System Engineer please look it up so you have a firm understanding of the roles. Resumes should clearly articulate Database System Engineer related tasks and activities.
