MANDOTORY SKILLS: Client is looking for a Unix/AIX DB2 UDB DBA with 3 -5 years experience with extensive shell scripting skills and a previous instance where they fully automated DB2 UDB application changes thru test environments to production. The longer term off-hours monitoring opportunity would ideally have both mainframe DB2 as well as UNIX DB2 UDB. Please review and let me know if you need any additional information. Description: This Senior DBA/Database Automation Engineer position is a DB2/UDB database opportunity. This resource will be responsible for designing, scripting and implementing database changes for UDB applications. EXP: 5 - 7 years of combined database administration and process automation experience required as well as above average communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to work in a team environment. Knowledge, Skills & abilities: Experience with DDL, DML, DCL and SQL. Familiarity with mainframe DB2 and midrange DB2 UDB, Oracle and Windows SQL Server a plus. Candidate must posess above average verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated the ability to succeed in a dynamic environment. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science o equivalent work experience required, one additional year of experience is required for each year of college not attained.
