As a key member of the CNBC Digital engineering team, this candidate, reporting to the Manager of Application Development, will contribute to the long-term technological direction of our on-line suite of product offerings. Responsibilities: . Lead and implement efficient front-end solutions for various web-based application platforms. . Define and maintain development coding and documentation standards. . Evangelize and implement emerging/next generation front-end web technologies. . Coach and guid eindividual team members. . Interface with project managers, designers, platform integration engineers, and third-party vendors to ensure front-end web deliverables are met. . Develop functional design prototypes for rapid feasibility evaluations. Minimum Requirements: . Hands-on software development and design experience for the web. . Excellent knowledge of software engineering practices, including release management, configuration management, and project planning. . Strong comprehension of business objectives with the ability to translate that business logic into technical design. . Strong knowledge of website load optimization techniques. . Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
